Nuclear energy, so uranium on the rise

Nuclear energy, so uranium on the rise Posted on 9. Oktober 2024

In Kazakhstan, citizens have voted on the construction of the first nuclear power plant. Around 70 percent voted "yes". After all, the country wants to counteract the prevailing electricity shortage. French, Russian, Chinese and South Korean companies applied to build the nuclear power plant. Energy is an important aspect for every country.

Energy ensures competitiveness, because it is not just about clean and reliable energy supplies, but also about costs. And the cost of energy has risen significantly in many countries. This is shown by the example of Italy. Some sectors of industry there are already experiencing difficulties due to high energy costs. The Italian government, a country in which the vast majority of residents have always been very opposed to nuclear energy, now wants a reversal. Subsidies for solar plants have already been cut and new nuclear power plants are to be built.

Although renewable energies are very popular, they are not enough on their own. A mix is needed. In contrast to renewable energies, nuclear power provides energy consistently and safely. In Italy, the last nuclear power plants were taken off the grid in 1990. But now the Italian government, supported by the environment minister, is flirting with nuclear reactors, including the small SMR reactors. In order to get global warming under control, all possibilities, including nuclear energy, must be exhausted. The uranium market is not large, so investors should pay attention to quality when selecting uranium stocks. IsoEnergy or Uranium Energy, for example, offer this.

IsoEnergyhttps://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/isoenergy-ltd/ – owns high-grade uranium projects in Canada, Australia, Argentina and the USA. In particular, the Hurricane deposit in the Laroque East project in Saskatchewan is extremely high-grade.

Uranium Energyhttps://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/uranium-energy-corp/ – has equally excellent uranium projects. They are located in the USA and Canada. In Wyoming, the company has brought a uranium project back into production.
